The study seeks answers to several questions: how can cultural asymmetry be overcome in the translation of literary realia? What can be the intention behind the translator\u2019s decision: to make the source language\u2019s realia familiar to the target language recipient or, on the contrary, to emphasise the foreignness of the translation, to stress that the reader is holding a translation in his hands?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
