The interpretation illuminates the figurative processes of prose language that overwrite the two-folded textual mechanism. In the novel the figurative presentation focuses on the symbolic aspects and intertextual relations of lily: for example the lily-symbols of the Song of Songs and The Garden of Gethsemane. At the same time the symbolism of garden must be taken into consideration.
