Issue 2, 2014, p. 51-92., ISSN 1336-7307<\/p>\n DOI:\u00a0<\/strong>10.17846\/PA.2014.9.2.51-92<\/span><\/p>\n In my article I analize the appearance of the problems of human dignity and\u00a0recognition in Dostoyevsky\u2019s \u2013 especially his last period\u2019s \u2013 works, using Axel\u00a0Honneth\u2019s theory of recognition. Dostoyevsky\u2019s heroes, who are struggling for\u00a0the lack of recognition, pursue self-confidence and they show up their peculiarity\u00a0with the expense of harm of dignity of human prejudice. In Dostoyevsky\u2019s\u00a0works the respect for human dignity could be linked to the \u201evoice of the heart\u201c,\u00a0what is the voice of the sense of co-existence in the world. In my study, I compare\u00a0the interpretation of human dignity in the former sense, with major philosophers\u2019\u00a0(eg. Kant, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Camus) theories related to human\u00a0dignity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
