Abstract
This article examines features of literary texts that do not have a clear referential or hermeneutic function – such as attunement, mood, atmosphere and other sensorial, material effects–, but significantly shape the tone of the text. The paper will explore these phenomena by relating them to the dichotomies of information and noise, meaning and non-meaning.
